Clean your piercing 2-3 times per day.
Clean all dry matter from your jewelry and piercing site with warm purified water and a q-tip, always remember to use a different q-tip for each side of your piercing this can help to avoid cross contaminating. After removing all dry matter using one of our handy Niel med saline sprays you can now easily mist each side of your piercing then rinse your piecing off with bottled water and dry with a new q-tip.
After cleaning, it is not necessary to rotate your piercings, if you feel that it must be rotated, only do so with clean hands and only after you have given the piercing a thorough cleaning.
For piercing inside the mouth rinse with 3/4 of a cup of bottled water mixed with half a teaspoon of pink Himalayan sea salt or non iodized sea salt rinse for 20 to 30 seconds three to five times per day.
What is normal?
Initially: some bleeding, localized swelling, tenderness or bruising can all be normal during a fresh piercing.
During healing: some discolouration, itching, secretion of whitish yellow fluid may form. This is all a normal part of the healing process.
A piercing may seem healed before the healing process is fully complete. This is tissue healing from the outside in, and although it feels healed, the interior remains fragile.
Be patient and remain cleaning throughout the entire healing period.
Never try to pop a keloid this can make it worse, keloids are not an infection and are normally caused by agitation. Bumping, snagging, makeup, hairspray, and sleeping on it are some forms of agitation that may cause keloids.
If you develop a red bump on your piercing, please do not hesitate to stop in and see us or give us a call at 250-306-7038 for some suggestions that may help.
Avoid cleaning your piercing with rubbing alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, and any soaps containing perfumes.

Avoid all oral contact, rough play and contact with other bodily fluids on or near your piercing during healing.
Avoid excessive caffeine, nicotine, alcohol and recreational drugs.
